The stadium will attract a big name manager

They don't sack managers as its more expensive to pay them off

With Grant they waited u tilt he season end as it was 50p cheaper to sack him

Re: The new manager thread
I'm starting to change my mind about replacing him. I think to be fair to him this is a really hard league. I would be reluctant to get someone in who doesn't have experience in this league, especially for a mid table team like ours. It could be a disaster.

Bilic has now had his "down turn". He's seen that all this experimentation doesnt work in this league. Just as Guardiola's finding out as well. It's just that finding this out for a mid table team means a relegation scrap instead of missing out on a top 4 finish.

I like the way he was decisive in replacing Adrian. I like the way we actually play football on the floor and actually look good on the ball. I like the way we have made championship players in to premiership level ones.

I feel that Bilic just lacks the ability to judge a player sometimes. I also think he doesn't demand consistency from them as he should. This league is about who makes the fewest mistakes as opposed to how creative you are.

I'm hoping that Bilic has learnt these lessons and has taken it all on board. If he has he could still be a fantastic manager. Just depends if the board feel the same way.

Good shout but I'm not sure he's ready to stoop so low as to join WH under our present owners...

Sorry to be controversial but I enjoyed my time at West Ham most while Harry Redknap was manager. He has become a joke character but if the owners decide to sack Bilic he might just be what is needed for a few months until a bigger decision is made in the summer. That's all.

"Maybe Harry plus perhaps Trev to see the season through and allow time to sort permanent replacement."

The same Trev that cannot stand Harry Redknapp and, rumor has it, played a part in his failure to land the England job?

What is that all based on? Fact or conjecture? If the first, what's your HP?

Re: The new manager thread
Fucking hell, people who purport to support West Ham want us to sign Jermain Defoe and are now talking about employing Harry fucking Redknapp?

It's a good thing this website is largely not at all representative of proper West Ham supporters.

What a bunch of cunts.

You said "i think ive seen him change formation maybe 3 times this season during a game."

That is admitting that Bilic has a Plan B surely? I'm not saying it's a good plan B just that he does change players and formations occasionally. Is it worth any more discussion?

I'm sure Ancelotti is ready for a challenge. But is he ready for a challenge such as this?

why don't you read what i've posted instead or trying to interpret it the way you want? all managers makes substitutions, often the result in a slight re-jig in positions. having a plan b is when you change the way you play, formation, style etc, ive seen bilic change formation during a game about three times. its pretty easy to understand if you actually read what ive posted mate.

Re: The new manager thread
Bilic lost alot of confidence in the board cause the scouting was not good enough to initially find a RB. They went after that fella from psg because he was a free transfer, who went to some turkish team i believe instead, he then decided to play antonio there as it was the best option to him in the end.

Lacazette, batman and bacca, where his choices but the board could not land any of them. Bid accepted for batman was only when palace met the asking price, if our board wanted to support the manager they should have gone early with a high bid instead they put in low offers of course. We end up with ayew, far from first choice.

They landed tore, but apart from that, i dont know how many were bilics actual targets. You can tell that we couldnt land the players we wanted and its probably alot to do with the bargain bin cheapo transfer policy implemented by the board. I think bilic gave up with their failure in the end and we have suffered all season because of it

If it gets worse. Redknapp until May with a nice drink in it for him. Without a doubt. Not my choice but I can see it...

Then I d go for Howe.

Hiddink has managed 5 different countries and several top clubs.
He'd probably turn his nose up at working for a couple of spivs.

Good shout though!

You keep saying Bilic has been let down by the board but has he really? They have signed 10 players that we're fairly sure at least 9 of them were Bilic choices.

How is that "let down massively by the board"?

So let me get this right? Bilic does change formation and move players around but by your definition, that does not count as a Plan B?

No point arguing what the definition of Plan B means but I thought making any changes is moving to Plan B...
